Central to the installation is a set of improvisational frameworks created for vocalists Axel and Christian Schneeberger to interpret and enact through predominantly non-linguistic modes of vocalisation. Shifting between ambient hums and moments of deliberate composition, the vocalists navigate a traversal of the voice—its internal contours and its relationship to the other. Axel and Christian’s improvisations work with both slippage and resonance as well as thresholds of instability through the different textural registers of the voice.
