The book was comissioned as part of a project with Talbot Rice Gallery and took it’s starting point from a number of mid-century architectural drawings held within the special collection at the University of Edinburgh: ’A boys club’, ‘A country banking estate and the manager’s house’ and ‘A gymnasium and a swimming pool’. The language of the plans is direct and the drawings themselves were never-realised, leaving behind redundant plans for three conceived spaces which have become the location for the three fictional narratives presented in the text.
